Build your dream house
House Builder is a simulation game where you can build all sorts of houses — whether a traditional house made of wood and bricks, or even an igloo if you so choose to do so. You are given the freedom in what type of design you want in this building game.
House Builder features an in-depth building system, and every material you use must be the appropriate one; otherwise, there will be repercussions due to a faulty construction plan. In addition, you must also be smart in managing your available resources. This is an immersive building game.
Bring your ideas to life
In House Builder, you are basically a one-man construction crew in charge of constructing houses from the ground up. There are multiple locations to build in — such as Africa, Siberia, or the Arctic — and once you’ve settled, you can build a home that perfectly fits the environment. Tools are available at your disposal, and you can use them to gather resources such as wood and process them to become building materials.
The building system is very detailed — you start from the foundation all the way to the roof — and you’ll need to be careful when building, otherwise there will be consequences. Thankfully, there is a demolition feature to completely remove the current build and start from scratch again if you make a mistake. A tutorial is also present, and it will walk you through step-by-step in building a house.
The game has a lot of neat DLCs that add more architectural and seasonal themes if you ever get bored with the base game’s house designs, although you’ll have to dish out some money to get access to these cool additions. The graphics are pretty top-notch and well-designed — with lush environments, diverse climates, and wildlife running around, making you fully immersed in the world.
Get a glimpse of the construction career
House Builder’s gameplay loop is more about the construction process rather than the designing and decoration aspect. Managing resources also feels like a job, as you will need to gather and process them first before you can go all out with your creativity in building. It’s a game that’s fun for those who enjoy a bit of survival-crafting aspects mixed into the building genre.
